EP22 – Geospatial Innovation in the UK

This is Nigel Clifford, the former Chief Executive of the UK Ordnance Survey and now the President of the Royal Geographic Society as well as the current Deputy Commissioner of the UK’s Geospatial Commission. Those experiences illustrate the extent to which Mr. Clifford exerts enormous influence in the development of geospatial innovation and leadership within the UK and globally. Note one very key comment where he says that geospatial technology is now a “general purpose” software solution, meaning that it is as significant and important in everyday use as a word processor or a spreadsheet.
